Jenny Kruschel, National Secretary of the TCF Sector of the CFMEU Manufacturing Division spoke at a tribute to the workers who lost their lives in the Rana Plaza tragedy on April 24th 2013, the anniversary of the horrendous factory fire and building collapse that killed 1,134 workers and injured more than 2,500 in Bangladesh.

The Union laid a wreath and held a minute's silence to remember the workers whose lives were lost and those who were injured.

The event was held at Nobody Denim in Thornbury which is accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia - an accreditation body that works collaboratively with local textile, clothing and footwear companies manufacturing in Australia. The ECA voluntary accreditation program ensures that company's Australian supply chains are fully transparent and legally compliant and to ensure that workers’ rights are protected, and that they are receiving Award rates and entitlements.
