Victoria’s timber industry is the lifeblood of many regional towns and communities. But did you know that timber workers also help to keep us safe during bushfires?
During the recent bushfires, workers from across the timber industry provided their equipment, expertise and skills to clear containment lines and remove dangerous trees. One of these workers captured some incredible footage of this vital work - and we’re putting it on TV to make sure all of Victoria knows.

In Victoria, this vital industry is now under threat due to the Victorian State Government's plan to end native timber logging. We're backing our timber workers, and we need you to help.

We also know of several members who have unforunately lost their homes in the recent fires. In addition to the support that is coming from the union, we are collecting donations to support these workers through this terrible time.
